Blakemore Colleagues Attend Disability Sport Wales Paralympic Celebratory Dinner

A.F. Blakemore Group Marketing Director Sarah Ellis and Responsible Business Director Caoire Blakemore attended Disability Sport Wales’s Paralympic Celebratory Dinner this month.

The event, which took place on 12th November, celebrated the achievements of Disability Sport Wales Paralympians in Tokyo.

SPAR is the national community partner of Disability Sport Wales, and one of the initiatives supported by stores across Wales is the DSW Insport Education Series.

Insport Series events provide inclusive sporting opportunities for disabled adults and young people across Wales. The Education Series helps schools across Wales to offer inclusive PE lessons by providing teachers with free access to inclusive PE lesson plans.

At the celebratory event, Sarah made a presentation to taekwondo champion Beth Munro, cycling champion James Ball and table tennis champion Paul Karabardak. All three won silver medals in Tokyo, while Paul also won a bronze. Beth was originally scouted at an Insport event.
