Blakemore Retail's Machynlleth SPAR and Post Office has reopened with a new Greggs bakery after undergoing a refurbishment.
The store on Maengwyn Street has undergone an extensive refit and relaunched on 1st December with a brand-new Greggs bakery and County Bridge fresh meat range as well as F’Real milkshakes and smoothies and Tango Ice Blast slush drinks. New self-service checkouts are also available.
The SPAR marked its relaunch with a day of celebration on 3rd December, giving away prizes and discounts. Machynlleth Mayor Jeremy Paige officially opened the store.
Store Manager Dave Albrighton commented: “We are really excited to be open again and providing essential services to our local community once more. We are very pleased with the refit and hope our customers love it too.
“We will all be working hard to make sure our shoppers get the products and services they need from their local convenience store.”
The store’s convenience offer includes fresh produce, an in-store bakery and alcoholic drinks.
A full range of Post Office services is available. Other services include lottery, PayPoint and a free-to-use cash machine.
The store relaunch and introduction of the new Greggs bakery has created 12 new jobs for the local community.
The SPAR and Post Office will be open from 7am to 11pm Monday to Saturday, and from 7am to 10.30pm on Sunday.
