Blakemore Colleagues Enjoy Free Day Out at Alton Towers

More than 800 A.F. Blakemore colleagues enjoyed a free day out at Alton Towers theme park in Staffordshire earlier this month.  

The fun day was organised by the company especially for employees and took place on Saturday 10th September.

Circa 1,900 people attended the event, including 823 members of staff from divisions and departments across the Blakemore group.

Colleagues were given a free entry ticket to the park, while family and friends were able to attend at a discounted rate.

Guests enjoyed some of the UK's leading white-knuckle rollercoaster rides and children’s attractions. Free coach travel and packed lunches were provided, and face painters were also on hand to bring some additional colour to the day.

Blakemore Retail Operations Support Manager Caroline Wills, who organised the event, commented: “It is always fantastic to see so many Blakemore Retail and AFB colleagues attending our staff fun day with their families, and this year’s event in particular felt much more special given the last few years of adversity.

“It was our most well-attended fun day to date, and I hope that everyone who attended had an enjoyable day out.”
