Blakemore Retail unveils SPAR store in Warren Wood, Gainsborough – A hub of convenience and sustainability

Blakemore Retail is delighted to announce the grand opening of its latest SPAR store in Warren Wood, Gainsborough. The store was officially launched on 2nd December by Deputy Mayor, Cllr James Plastow, Council Leader, Cllr Richard, and two football players from Gainsborough Trinity F.C.

The state-of-the-art 2,874sqft convenience store has been designed to meet the needs of Warren Wood customers and offers an extensive range of services and products including a dailyDeli Hot counter, serving breakfast baps, Sunday lunch, and other hot items, the County Bridge fresh meat range featuring a variety of meats designed to suit all budgets and Tango Ice Blast, Philpotts coffee, and Shmoo milkshakes for customers on the go. The SPAR store also features products from local suppliers such as Potts Bakers.

Blakemore Retail has invested over £500,000 creating 20 jobs in the process and in alignment with their commitment to sustainability, the store incorporates eco-friendly measures such as sensory lighting, energy-efficient LED lights, and chiller doors to reduce energy consumption.

The store provides a free ATM, Collect Parcel + and a cash back service. Externally there are 22 parking bays available.

Blakemore Managing Director - Retail, said: “We are delighted to open SPAR Warren Wood, which is positioned at the heart of the community which is hugely important to us and means as an independent family owned business our store team can concentrate on providing the best possible service. We’ve created a store to reflect the needs of the local community as well as being able to offer employment to twenty people.”

The official opening on 2nd December was packed with activities, starting with the official opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. Bobby Johnson and Lewis Butroid from Gainsborough Trinity F.C. were present in the morning, so shoppers had the opportunity to collect signed autographs and capture memorable photos. Customers also had the opportunity to play SPAR’s Spin to Win wheel, where exciting prizes such as money-off vouchers or SPAR-branded products were available.

SPAR Warren Wood, Gainsborough is open from 7am until 11pm, seven days a week.
