Shortlists for Grocer Gold, Convenience and Retail Industry Awards Announced

A.F. Blakemore and its stores have made the shortlist for the Grocer Gold Awards, the Convenience Awards and the Retail Industry Awards in five categories.

All of the awards celebrate and recognise the very best standards in grocery retail and shine a light on the extraordinary achievements of companies and individuals in the industry.

On the Grocer Gold Awards shortlist, AFB’s County Bridge retail fresh meat range has been listed as a finalist in the Own-Label Range of the Year category.

On the Convenience Awards shortlist, Blakemore Retail’s Intake store in Doncaster has been listed as a finalist in the Multiple Managed Convenience Store of the Year category.

Meanwhile, SPAR Parkfoot Garage in Kent, which is owned by independent retailer David Charman, has made the shortlist for three awards. These include Independent Convenience Store of the Year and Customer Delivery Store of the Year at the Convenience Awards, and then Independent Retailer of the Year (1,201sq ft to 3,000sq ft) at the Retail Industry Awards.

The SPAR symbol group has also been shortlisted for Symbol/Franchise Retailer of the Year titles at the Grocer Gold and Retail Industry Awards.

A final shout out goes to independent retailer Peter Hockenhull, who has been shortlisted for the Special Recognition Award at the Forecourt Trader Awards. He needs as many votes as possible to win, so please support him by casting your vote here:

The Convenience Awards are set to take place on 14th September, the Retail Industry Awards on 21st September, the Forecourt Trader Awards on 30th September and the Grocer Gold Awards on 5th October.
