A.F. Blakemore Launches New Customer Web Apps

A.F. Blakemore has launched three new web apps for customers to improve their online shopping experience.

The progressive web apps, which have all launched in the past three months, will serve the company’s SPAR retailers, Wholesale Distribution customers and Foodservice customers.

The platforms feature new technology that makes it easier for users to find products than ever before. An artificial intelligence-driven search engine delivers products relevant to entered keywords, and there is also a convenient voice search function.

AFB Head of Digital Stuart Sykes commented: “Our new customer apps form part of A.F. Blakemore’s ongoing investment in digital technology, which has seen the introduction of new employee, customer relationship management, online ordering and delivery tracking platforms over the past three years.

“The new apps offer our customers a fast, user-friendly and convenient way to shop – enabling them to easily and intuitively find the best products for them and manage their orders much quicker than before.

“Our digital offer will continue to evolve as we constantly strive to enhance the overall customer experience.” 

On the apps, product listings now include more detailed product information and updated images. Promotions, clearances and price-marked products are highlighted to help customers spot opportunities.

The checkout process is also faster and more responsive. Orders can be tracked in just one click, with real-time information provided on order processing and delivery.

A help centre provides important resources such as legal and regulatory changes all in one place.
