The Retail Club is everything you need to develop your business and maintain your independence.

At Blakemore Wholesale we recognise the value of the independent retailer. We know that your store is an important part of your community and whilst you want to develop and grow your business you don’t want to lose your independence.

Research has shown that the convenience sector is in growth, but that the market share is being taken over by the supermarkets.

Our Retail Club offers the perfect package to help independent retailers fight back, delivering real benefits and improvements through its store redevelopment and regeneration programme. It can transform your business by using a combination of your local knowledge and our proven tools for retail development, from merchandising and layout to full store refits and promotions.

Our Retail Club is a proven way of delivering real benefits to retailers with no hidden costs or membership fees, helping independent retailers to realise their store's true potential. In partnership with Blakemore Wholesale, your local Landmark Wholesale member, independent retailers are introduced to a unique approach to sales growth through retail discipline.

No fees - just basic store requirement

Retailers can invest as much or as little into store development as they desire. All we ask is that any participating store meets a basic requirement. The minimum requirement to activate the scheme is a store with modern shelving to accommodate EPOS shelf edging, chilled dairy and refrigeration for soft drinks and alcohol.

Retailers must adhere to and maintain the category management aspect of the programme. As well as meeting the merchandising criteria, equipment and imagery standards, retailers must also agree to operate in a safe, clean and disciplined environment.

The Package

As part of the package we provide a full store survey, cost analysis, project management of the conversion, merchandising of fixtures and a basic imagery pack including signage.

You will have access to the nationally agreed Lifestyle fascias and the new Apex Local Stores fascia, an eye-catching design in two different store formats - Lifestyle Express is the recommended fascia for convenience stores and Drinks Express for off licences. Whilst fascias are recommended, they are not compulsory for a store development.

Additional Services

Our Retail Club programme is continually developing and enhancing its services for independents. We have a comprehensive portfolio of drop shipment providers under the banner 'Lifestyle Direct' which can provide added-value services to your store, in areas of growth in the convenience sector. They range from bread and chilled products to greeting cards and cakes.

Also under 'Lifestyle Direct' Retail Club members can access a range of service providers which can offer value-added services to your store, for example ATM machines and banking to licence applications and shop fitting.

Promotions

Retail Club promotions are each four weeks long and have been launched exclusively for Retail Club members. The promotions are targeted across products that appear on the core range recommended on the planograms and feature between thirty and eighty key lines.
