Blakemore Wholesale colleagues and customers across the Midlands have raised £1,294 for Muscular Dystrophy UK.

Staff members from cash & carry depots in Wolverhampton, Walsall and Birmingham joined forces with the Wholesale Trading team to raise the funds and promote the charity by hosting a Christmas raffle.

A.F. Blakemore’s charitable trust, the Blakemore Foundation, contributed to the total by match funding the money raised by colleagues.

Blakemore Wholesale’s donation will aid the charity’s advice services, resources and support for people with muscle-wasting conditions, their families and the professionals who work with them.

A.F. Blakemore Community Affairs Officer Kate Senter said: “It has been inspiring to find out about all of the great work that Muscular Dystrophy UK does.

“I am delighted to know that the funds raised and matched by the Blakemore Foundation will aid the charity’s ongoing work.

“Thank you to everyone who contributed to the raffle and well done to those who made it possible.”
