The Meridian & Welsh Guild is committed to supporting national and local good causes.

Since May 2008 SPAR stores across the Meridian & Welsh Guild have been part of SPAR UK's campaign to raise £2 million for the NSPCC.

NSPCC Director of Fundraising, Paul Amadi said:

“The NSPCC’s partnership with SPAR has been a tremendous success. With a challenging economic backdrop, it’s a testament to the dedication and hard work of SPAR stores that so much money has been raised during this period.

“Working with SPAR over the past four years has also increased awareness of the NSPCC Helpline and ChildLine amongst thousands of employees and millions of customers.”

Our retailers are also committed to hundreds of local charities at the heart of the communities they serve.

Our independent retailers not only live and work in their local communities but are active members of this community and understand the local good causes in the areas where they trade.

This commitment is symbolised in the wealth of in-store fundraising and charitable donations that take place across the Meridian & Welsh Guild.
