Quality assurance is of paramount importance to Blakemore Logistics. 

In 2010 the division acquired ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BRC Storage and Distribution certification in order to demonstrate its commitment to quality, food safety and environmental standards.  
 

ISO_9001_System_Certification ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard for quality management. The standard ensures that organisations have proven processes in place to meet customer requirements. 
ISO_14001_System_Certification ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised standard for environmental management that evaluates how well organisations manage their environmental responsibilities. The aim of the standard is to reduce the pollution, waste and environmental footprint created by businesses. 
BRC_Storage_Distribution_Certification The BRC Storage and Distribution Standard is an industry-leading standard that enables organisations to demonstrate their competence in maintaining the safety and integrity of food and consumer products. 


The company's aim is to consistently improve its quality, food safety and environmental management systems, and as a result it operates in accordance with its own Quality Systems Manual. A full Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system is also in place.

 

Investors_in_People_Silver

Blakemore Logistics was also awarded the Investors in People Silver standard in 2010/11, a feat that less than 3% of the 25,000 UK organisations with IIP recognition have achieved to date. 

Investors in People is a standard for people management. It defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people for sustained success.

To achieve the standard, the business was assessed against a set framework, and evidence of its policies and practices were gathered via interviews with our employees.
