There’s nothing in the UK quite like us!  We work with local producers on their terms and constantly review our network to suit their needs.  We are not a wholesale operation, but instead work closely with our producers to supply their products on their behalf, at prices dictated by them. 

Heart’s policy is to be fair and equal with all of our producers, not promoting any one over another nor cherry picking those to bring into the service.  Our small team of six enables Heart to offer a service that is personal and tailored to individual needs.  We work with suppliers to understand the level that they wish to grow their business to and don’t push them further. 

Delivery Service

The aim of Heart Distribution’s delivery service is to increase efficiencies in distribution, both financially and environmentally, by reducing fuel costs, consolidating orders and delivering to a wide range of customers, all whilst maintaining the individual personalities of producers. 

Heart Distribution provides a storage and delivery service for ambient, chilled and frozen product lines.  Our delivery service is underpinned by the professional logistics infrastructure of A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd, which has over 90 years of experience in food warehousing and distribution.  Blakemore Logistics operates the warehousing and delivery arm of Heart by providing a storage facility for producers’ products at the Long Acres Industrial Estate in Willenhall and delivering goods. 

All of Heart Distribution’s multi-temperature delivery vehicles are managed using the most up to date tools in the industry.  Route planning systems and driver tracking programmes ensure traceability and a reliable, efficient service.  All of our drivers are SAFED trained, and we use Blue Tree Management systems to monitor driver performance and fuel consumption.

One Order, One Delivery, One Invoice

With Heart’s easy ‘One order, One invoice, One delivery’ service, producers can consolidate time spent on administrational tasks and focus on building relationships with customers, developing their brand and doing what they do best – producing the best quality products in the region.  Our all-inclusive service also means that customers no longer have to deal with administration from multiple suppliers and invoices. 

Our system works on a day one for day four delivery basis.  Customers place their orders with Heart Distribution, Heart contacts the producers, and then the producers either manufacture their products or take them from stock and deliver them into one of Heart Distribution’s hub locations.  The orders are then consolidated and delivered to the customer on one of our vehicles. 

Heart Distribution has a dedicated team of staff who take ownership of the payment of producers’ products and liaise with the customers who are supplied by the delivery service.  Producers are paid 10 days from delivering products into the Heart depot to ensure that their cash flows are kept fluid. 

Our Process

Heart Distribution takes orders from customers and delivers on behalf of producers in a simple four stage process:

                      Stage 1: Customers place their orders with Heart Distribution.

                      Stage 2: Heart Distribution consolidates orders on behalf of customers.

                      Stage 3: Heart Distribution consolidates orders on behalf of producers.

                      Stage 4: Heart Distribution delivers consolidated orders to customers.
                                      Customers receive one delivery and one invoice, with all of their
                                      orders combined.
