In recognition of their investment in staff, Blakemore Design & Shopfitting and Blakemore Property have been awarded Investors in People Bronze status.

Investors in People is a nationally recognised quality standard that Blakemore Design & Shopfitting and Blakemore Property have held since 2002, but for the first time the divisions have gone beyond the basic standard and achieved the Bronze award.

In order to achieve the standard, Blakemore Design & Shopfitting and Property were independently assessed on how the business communicates and how it develops, rewards and recognises its employees.

Investors in People Practitioner Kathryn Shepherd commented: “The feedback from people during the visits was consistently very positive about the topics contained within the Standard as well as those chosen for a higher level of accreditation.

“Many congratulations to everyone for this achievement, particularly at a time when the teams have been so busy. Thanks to all of those who took the time to talk to me during the site visits. It was lovely to meet so many members of the Blakemore team.”

Blakemore Property & Development Director Alastair Haigh commented: “I am delighted that Blakemore Property and Blakemore Design & Shopfitting have been accredited with the Investors in People Bronze award, having met 75 evidence requirements.

“The IIP Bronze award is very challenging to attain and this is our first benchmark against Bronze accreditation since being recognised as an Investor in People in 2002.

“The feedback from people in Property and BDS during the onsite visit was consistently very positive about the topics contained within the Standard as well as those chosen for the higher level Bronze accreditation.

“This award would not have been possible without the continued hard work and commitment of everybody within Property and BDS and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all concerned on this achievement.”
